Who we are
OBR Parts & Marine, Inc. is a marine parts remanufacturer and distributor in Semmes, Alabama. This policy covers obrparts.com — the public catalog, the dealer portal, and the forms on this site. It does not cover other companies' sites we link to.
What we collect
We collect what you give us and a little about how the site gets used — nothing more:
- Forms you submit. Quick-quote requests (including photos you upload), dealer applications, insurance sign-ups, and contact messages. We keep these so we can respond and fulfill your request.
- Dealer accounts. If you're an approved dealer: your email address, customer number, sign-in sessions, and the carts and orders you submit.
- Usage analytics. Which pages get visited, what gets searched, and where the catalog loses people — so we can make the site better. Analytics data is not used to identify you personally, and we never sell it.
Cookies
Cookies on this site do two jobs: keeping dealers signed in, and measuring how the site gets used.
- Essential. Dealer and team sign-in sessions. The site can't work without these, so they're always on.
- Analytics. PostHog (and Google Analytics, once enabled) set cookies to measure visits and catalog usage. You can decline these with the cookie banner — declining turns analytics off for your browser and the site works exactly the same.
- Third-party. Google reCAPTCHA protects our forms from spam, and the Zoho chat widget sets its own cookies when you use it.
Services we rely on
obrparts.com runs on a small set of infrastructure providers. Each one only sees what it needs to do its job:
- Vercel — hosts the website.
- Supabase — stores the catalog, form submissions, and uploaded photos.
- Resend — delivers transactional email (quote confirmations, sign-in codes, application updates).
- PostHog — usage analytics.
- Google — reCAPTCHA spam protection, and Google Analytics once enabled. Use of reCAPTCHA is subject to Google's Privacy Policy and Terms of Service.
- Zoho SalesIQ — the live-chat widget.
How we use your information
- To answer quote requests and process dealer orders
- To review and approve dealer and insurance applications
- To keep dealer accounts signed in and secure
- To understand how the catalog gets used and improve it
We do not sell your information. We do not share it with anyone except the service providers above, and only so the site can function.
Your choices
- Analytics cookies — decline them with the cookie banner, any time. Clearing your browser storage brings the banner back if you change your mind.
- Your data — email custserv@obrparts.com to ask what we have about you or to have it deleted. Order and warranty records we're required to keep are the only exception.
